How to play

Learn Champ before kickoff.

Champ is a free game where you and your friends bet virtual coins on real matches. Here’s everything, start to finish.

Getting started

Download Champ and sign in with Google, Facebook, Apple (on iPhone) or your email. It takes about 30 seconds.

Pick a username your rivals will remember, and a display name your friends will see.
Choose your champion - an avatar, then paint it in your colour.
Add your number (optional) so friends can find you from their contacts.

You start with a coin balance, so you can place your first bet straight away.

Sports & leagues

Pick at least one sport to follow. You can change them any time from your profile.

Then follow the leagues you care about - your home country’s leagues come first, and the big international competitions are always there. The Live tab shows today’s matches for the sports and leagues you follow.

Single or tournament

Every bet starts with the gold + button, which sits on every screen. Then choose a bet type:

Single

One match, one pot. Settled at the final whistle.

Tournament

A run of matches with the same crew. Points every match, one champion.

You can also join bets other players have opened - they show up under Join Bets in My Bets.

Challenges & points

A challenge is one prediction about the match. Each is worth points, and the player with the most points wins the pot. Winning side is always on - switch on the others for a sharper contest.

Stake & invites

Drag the dial to set how many coins everyone puts into the pot. Everyone who joins puts in the same stake.

Invite friends from your friends list, your contacts or with a share link.
Random opponent - no one around? Champ finds you a rival.
Name your bet so your friends recognise it in their invites.

Watching live

Once the match kicks off, your bet goes live. Follow the score and key moments in real time - and turn on the bell next to any match to get a reminder before kickoff.

Winning

At the final whistle the points are counted. The best call takes the pot, and the top three earn gold, silver and bronze trophies for their player card.

Daily streak

Open Champ once a day and claim your reward. Claim on consecutive days and your daily streak grows - with bigger rewards on milestone days.

The new day starts at midnight, your local time.
Miss a day and a Streak Freeze keeps your daily streak alive.
Out of freezes, and the chain breaks.
